Facebook : Group / Group Chat

How to create a group with chat function on facebook? and how to remove myself from group chat. Full tutorial. Just take a look at steps below and i'm sure you can do it :)

Step 1 : How to create a Group with chat function? Login into your facebook account and click "create group" on left side nav.

Step 2 : A small window will popup now, at "Group Name" enter your group name, at "member" section, just type your friends name. Choose your "privacy" setting and click "Create"

Final : You're DONE! A little intro about your group setting and how to.

1 : Edit Group

4 : add friends to Group
5 : Leave Group

Last : Deleting Group.









 Getting Started for Step 1 : Click "Edit Group"

Step 1 : Now you're at "edit group" page. At this page you can change Group Name, changing Privacy setting and add a email address "youremail@groups.facebook.com" and Group description.

Step 1.1 : now at the same page, click "profile picture". Here, you will be able to change your group profile picture.

Step 1.2 : Now, click on "Members". At here, you will be able to remove or ban your group members (step 1.2.1) or make your members Admin by clicking "make admin".(Step 1.2.2)

Step 1.2.1 : How to remove of ban a group member? click " X " on a member you want to remove or ban. Something like picture beside will popup.



Step 1.2.2 : Now, At admin page. You will be able to remove an admin. Now, Click "back to Group" and let's get started with step 2.

Getting started for step 2 : Click "Group Setting"

Step 2.1 : You will get notifications via email. You can turn off this setting if you want. really.
Step 2.2 : This options will allow your "group" shows in your home nav
Step 2.3 : If you disable this, you wont be able see those group chat again. you will be able to turn off and on fyi. Now time for step 3.

Getting Started : click Chat with group.

Step 3 : this is how it looks like. (picture below)

Step 3.1 : If you want turn off this chat.. Do take a look at step 2.3. now it's time for step 4.

Getting Started for step 4 : add friends to Group

Step 4 : click "add friends " to Group and a window will popup. Now, just type your friend name and your done :) Now for step 5.

Getting Started for step 5 : Leave Group

If you're a normal member, You will see something like below.

 If you're an admin, You will see something like below.

How to delete your group? Remove all your members from group and follow step 5. You will see something like pic below.

Changing Facebook profile layout (dec 2010)

Hello guys! looks like there's a facebook glitch. You can now change your facebook layout to normal back. Hurry! before they fix it !



Just follow the step below and u're DONE !

Intro : Facebook ugly profile layout :

It's freaking ugly right? damn. Why is facebook being gay on changing those nice old layout to this ugly layout? atleast, make a go back button like twitter did after their gay profile update -_-" Okay2, Now just follow these steps and u're done :)

Step 1 : Login your facebook account and click HERE. Now, U're at facebook deactivating page.. wait, wait.. don't worry about your facebook. Just follow these steps. Now, at "Reason for leaving" section, select the third options. "This is temporary. I'll be back." Example below.

Step 1.1 : (Skip this step if you don't have applications and click Confirm) If you own an applications and don't have second admins on your apps, then you have to delete your apps or you can just add admins on your apps and skip this step. Now tick the Delete applications section and click "confirm" Example below.

Step 2 : Enter your password and click confirm.









Step 3 : Enter the text and click confirm again.

Step 4 : Now, you're done ! Click "F5" or refresh and login back.

Step 5 : U're DONE ! Your profile back to normal again :D

How to edit any website content

Have you ever wanted to edit the web pages of another website? This Awesome firefox addons or simple line of code makes it possible. Of course you can’t actually edit the actual web page but you can edit the page as you see it on your screen. This is one of the ways scammers create fake screenshots, fake Adsense & affiliate earnings and even fake Paypal transactions, Funny facebook comments, etc.. (example below)

In this post there are two ways on how to edit web pages of another site. Trick 1 is using firefox addons, and trick 2 is javascript (scroll down for javascript trick)

How to do something like that? Just follow these simple steps and u're done :)

Step 1 : Open firefox and install this addons. (just click the pic to begin the download)

Step 2 : A window will popup. You will see something like the picture below. just click "Install Now"

Step 3 : You will now need to restart firefox and then u're done! Now, Go to any website ( i choose facebook) and right click on content / text that you wanna edit. Click on the last options called " Inspect Element" 

Step 4 : You will see something like the picture below. Now edit those text to something else and u're done for this step.

Wanna try javascript instead? All you need to do is visit the site you want to edit, paste the code below into your web browser address bar (tested in Firefox, Opera & IE) and hit the Enter button. Then simply select a portion of text on the page and start editing.
(Browser address bar is the place you type "www.google.com")

( you can't turn off the script. the only way is hit the F5 "refresh" button and it's gone. Same goes to your "edited" stuff.

Javascript VS Firebug = FireBug wins. So, use firebug. Even better.

Always remember : That the editing happens only inside the memory of your browser. You can edit what you want but you will not be able to save your “Work”

So it is just a funny joke that will not harm your pages in any way.

How to : Hide Status Updates From Certain People

Using Facebook’s general privacy settings (find these by hitting “account” on the top right of a Facebook page) you can select whether everyone, just friends or friends of friends can see your status updates. However, there is a way to narrow those options down even further.



You can select specific friend lists to see your status (relevant for work, special interest groups, etc.) or even individual people by name, which is useful for anyone organizing a surprise party.

To take advantage of these options, click the padlock icon just below your “what’s on your mind” box on your wall and a drop down menu should appear. Selecting “customize” will bring up more options such as “make this visible to” and “hide from” with the option to make your selection a default.

This was quite a big deal when it was announced this on September 2009, but from the amount of searches on the topic “how can I make someone’s name go blue in a Facebook status?” it seems it’s not universally known.
To mention someone in a status update just type “@” (a la TwitterTwitter) in the status bar and start typing their name as it appears on Facebook. An auto-generated list will then come up with people in your social circle whose name starts with the letters you’ve typed. The feature also works with pages, brands, events and companies.
Hit the name you want, complete the update, click share and the name will become a hyperlink (you won’t see the @ symbol) and will appear in blue text.
